Unveiling the elusive beauty of atmospheric transitions, UNAW GALLERY presents "Flowing Moonlight," a solo exhibition by Haechan Kang running from July 3 to August 23, 2025. The exhibition comprises 31 paintings created from 2022 onward, along with new pieces and unseen early sketches that invite viewers into a delicate dance of light, air, and memory.
Kang delves into the non-visible yet perceptible elements around us—light, air, and water—through his innovative techniques. Moving beyond conventional landscape painting, he captures transitional states—the quality of air, the density of dusk—inviting viewers to experience the textured echoes of moments rather than concrete scenes.
A distinctive aspect of Kang's work is his use of interference pigments, which change color and sheen with the viewer’s perspective, embodying the fluid passage of time and shifting emotions.
