Flowing Moonlight: An Invitation to Haechan Kang's Sensory World of Painting

From July 3 to August 23, UNAW Gallery will present an exquisite solo exhibition by artist Haechan Kang titled Flowing Moonlight. This captivating showcase will feature 31 paintings from 2022 to 2025, alongside a selection of debut drawings and newly crafted pieces specifically for this exhibition.

Haechan Kang’s works transcend the visible realms, inviting us to explore the unseen elements of light, air, and water through his innovative painterly compositions. His ability to capture the imperceptible layers of our daily environments—like the dense summer air or the crispness of a winter evening—is nothing short of magical.

A standout feature of this exhibition is Kang’s use of interference pigments, which create dynamic shifts in color and sheen based on the viewer's perspective, embodying the fluid passage of time and emotion.
