UNAW GALLERY proudly announces Flowing Moonlight, a solo exhibition by artist Haechan Kang, running from July 3 to August 23. This exhibition invites viewers to traverse the ethereal layers of sensation that Kang captures in his artwork—transforming elements such as air, light, and water into the rich language of painting.
The exhibition features 31 works, including new paintings and previously unseen early drawings and studies. Kang's pieces explore the density of moments borne from the atmospheric dance of summer nights through to the cool remnants of winter evenings. Rather than depicting places, he captures the texture of time itself, weaving the threads of perception and sensation into his canvases.
A hallmark of Kang’s work is his use of interference pigments, which change in color and sheen depending on the viewer’s angle, illuminating the fluid boundaries of his art.
