From July 3 to August 23, 2025, UNAW Gallery presents Haechan Kang's solo exhibition, Flowing Moonlight. This exhibition transcends simple landscape representation, delving into a painterly exploration of sensations, time, and existence flow.
Haechan Kang converts ephemeral and invisible elements like light, air, and water into perceptual layers, guiding us into a new realm of awareness. The works in this exhibition capture those secretly present, yet undeniably perceptible, sensory states within summer nights and winter evenings. Kang portrays these sensations not as everyday objects but as faint boundaries between reality and perception. This approach casts a new light on the flow of time and density of space, reminding us of the importance of overlooked moments.
A distinctive feature in Kang's work is the use of interference pigments.
