Flowing Moonlight: 강해찬이 그려내는 감각의 풍경

2025년 7월 3일부터 8월 23일까지, 유나 갤러리는 독보적인 현대미술 작가 강해찬의 개인전 《Flowing Moonlight》을 개최합니다. 이번 전시에서는 작가가 지난 3년에 걸쳐 완성한 주요 회화 작품들과 함께, 새롭게 선보이는 신작 페인팅, 그리고 처음 공개되는 초기 드로잉과 습작들을 만날 수 있습니다. 강해찬은 대기, 빛, 물과 같은 비가시적인 요소들을 회화로 탐구해 왔으며, 그의 작품은 우리에게 새로운 감상의 차원을 제시합니다.

Flowing Moonlight: A Sensory Journey with Haechan Kang

From July 3 to August 23, 2025, UNAW GALLERY proudly presents a solo exhibition by Haechan Kang titled Flowing Moonlight. This exhibition brings together his major works from the past three years, alongside new paintings and previously unseen early drawings and studies. Kang explores the intangible elements of our environment—air, light, and water—through his evocative paintings, offering viewers a new dimension of perception.

Kang's practice is often described as 'painting of the senses'. It reconstructs the fleeting sensory experiences of specific times and places into a visual language. His work captures the materiality of the atmosphere, such as humidity, scent, and subtle movements of light, allowing viewers to emotionally engage with space. By employing interference pigments that change hue and lustre with the viewing angle, his paintings remind us that neither sensation nor memory is static.

Flowing Moonlight not only continues Kang's exploration of temporal and sensory landscapes but also offers an insight into his artistic evolution. Through this exhibition, visitors are invited to rediscover the often-overlooked seasonal and temporal landscapes through the delicately modulated layers of sensation.
