강해찬 개인전 《Flowing Moonlight》: 감각의 흐름을 그린 회화
유나 갤러리는 오는 7월 3일부터 8월 23일까지 강해찬 작가의 개인전 《Flowing Moonlight》을 선보입니다. 이번 전시는 강해찬 작가가 지난 3년 동안 작업해온 주요 회화 작품과 함께 새롭게 선보이는 신작 페인팅, 그리고 드로잉과 초기 습작들이 공개됩니다.
강해찬 작가는 보이지 않지만 감각적으로 체험 가능한 대기, 빛, 물 등을 파고드는 ‘감각의 회화’를 통해 주변 환경 요소들을 탐구해왔습니다. 그는 일상 속 우연히 마주치는 특정 순간의 공기와 온도, 빛의 농도를 시각적 언어로 재구성합니다. 이러한 과정에서 공감각적 요소들이 화면에 겹겹이 쌓이며, 보는 이를 다른 차원의 공간으로 이끕니다.

Haechan Kang's Solo Exhibition ‘Flowing Moonlight’: Capturing the Flow of Perception
UNAW GALLERY is thrilled to present Flowing Moonlight, a solo exhibition by the artist Haechan Kang, on view from July 3 to August 23. This exhibition brings together key paintings created over the past three years, along with new works and previously unseen drawings.
Haechan Kang delves into sensory elements within the atmosphere, light, and water, crafting what he terms 'paintings of perception.' His work reconstructs the fleeting air, temperature, and light encountered unexpectedly in daily life into visual language, and in doing so, layers of multisensory components invite viewers into dimensions beyond the visible.
Perceptual Landscapes Rendered in Paint
This exhibition provides a retrospective on the evolution of Kang’s poetic visual language while offering insight into his sensory explorations. Unveiled drawings and studies provide a rare glimpse into the artist's introspective processes before translating his thoughts to canvas.
To convey a sense of perceptual movement, Kang uses interference pigments that shift in color and sheen with the viewer's perspective, emphasizing that these aren't static images but landscapes of sensory transition.
Moments of Transition, Invitations to Emotion
