In an era where moments pass us by swiftly, how often do we truly pause to feel the air, light, and sensations of each instance? UNAW Gallery seeks to answer this question through Haechan Kang’s solo exhibition 《Flowing Moonlight》, held in Seoul from July 3 to August 23, 2025. This exhibition guides audiences into a fresh exploration of sensory dimensions.
The exhibition includes 31 paintings that Kang has worked on from 2022 to 2025, along with newly produced artworks and previously unreleased early drawings and sketches. Known for his exploration of invisible yet palpable elements like air, light, and water, Kang intricately captures their delicate qualities on canvas.
His works transcend mere representation, instead functioning as a field of sensory experience. By examining the density of sensory landscapes formed at the boundary between reality and fantasy, viewers are invited to experience the ambiance of spaces on an emotional level. Through this, they quietly evoke the latent sensations within each individual's memory.
