Unaw Gallery Presents Haechan Kang's Solo Exhibition: Flowing Moonlight

From July 3 to August 23, 2025, Unaw Gallery will host Flowing Moonlight, a solo exhibition by the talented and evocatively perceptual painter Haechan Kang. This exhibition showcases a total of 31 works, including Kang’s key pieces since 2022 and newly created paintings.

Haechan Kang is renowned for exploring the fluidity of light, air, and time, reinterpreting the boundaries of traditional landscape painting. His work captures not specific locations but the atmosphere at specific moments—air, temperature, and light density. Through this recording of sensations, we are invited to rediscover overlooked moments in our daily lives.

Kang employs unique interference pigments to visualize the shifting nature of perception. As colors and sheens change with the viewer's perspective, these pigments reveal the temporal and emotional dynamics of the artwork, transforming paintings into landscapes composed of sensory transitions rather than fixed images.
