Exploring Sensory Landscapes with Haechan Kang's 'Flowing Moonlight'

This summer, UNAW Gallery invites you to immerse yourself in the solo exhibition by Haechan Kang, titled "Flowing Moonlight." Running from July 3 to August 23, 2025, the exhibition offers a comprehensive view of the artist's explorations over the past three years, presenting new works alongside previously unseen early drawings and studies.

Kang delves into the unseen—not capturing physical forms, but the humid air of summer nights, the crisp chill of winter evenings, and the traces left by the passage of time. His canvases operate as simulations of everyday sensations, striving to express the texture of moments rather than mere landscapes. This sensory conversion is realized through motifs like silhouettes of apartment buildings, branches, and windows, proposing a resonance beyond visual experience.
