이번 여름, 유나 갤러리 서울에서는 감각과 시간을 시각 언어로 재해석하는 강해찬 작가의 개인전 《Flowing Moonlight》을 만나볼 수 있습니다. 7월 3일부터 8월 23일까지 이어지는 이번 전시는 지난 3년간의 작품 활동 중 31점의 작품들을 중심으로, 새로운 시리즈와 초창기 드로잉을 포함한 강해찬의 예술적 여정을 소개합니다.

강해찬 작가는 빛, 공기, 물과 같은 주변 환경의 보이지 않는 요소를 포착하여 회화 속에 공기와 감각의 층위를 형성합니다. 그의 작업은 특정한 장소가 아닌, 그 순간의 공기와 빛의 농도를 담아냅니다. 그 결과, 관람객은 그의 작품 속에서 자신만의 감각과 기억을 불러올 수 있습니다.

This summer, UNAW Gallery Seoul presents "Flowing Moonlight," a solo exhibition by artist Haechan Kang that reinterprets the language of perception and time into a visual narrative. Running from July 3 to August 23, the exhibition showcases 31 of his works over the past three years, alongside newly created series and early drawings that chart Kang's artistic journey.

Haechan Kang captures invisible elements like light, air, and water, creating layers of atmosphere and sensory perception within his paintings. His works focus on capturing the density of a particular moment's air and light, inviting viewers to evoke their own senses and memories within his pieces.

Notably, this exhibition utilizes interference pigments that change color and sheen based on the viewing angle, highlighting the continuous transformation and temporality on the canvas. This approach emphasizes that paintings are dynamic landscapes of sensory transition rather than just visual renditions.

In Kang's works, everyday elements like apartment complexes, tree branches, and silhouettes frequently appear. These are not reproductions of specific scenes but traces of our daily lives, encouraging viewers to discover their own experiences and gaps within the paintings.
