2025년 여름, 유나 갤러리 서울은 강해찬 작가의 개인전 을 통해 우리가 일상에서 경험하는 대기, 빛, 시간의 흐름을 회화적으로 탐색합니다. 이번 전시는 2022년부터 2025년까지 작가가 작업해온 31점의 회화 작품뿐만 아니라 그의 창작 과정을 엿볼 수 있는 초기 드로잉과 습작도 함께 선보입니다.

강해찬의 작품은 단순한 풍경화를 넘어선 '감각의 회화'입니다. 그의 화면에 고정된 것은 특정한 장소가 아니라, 순간의 공기, 온도, 빛의 농도와 같은 비가시적 요소들입니다. 이번 전시는 이러한 감각적 요소들이 화면 위에서 어떻게 투명한 층으로 스며드는지를 탐구합니다.

Flowing Moonlight: An Invitation into the Landscape of Senses

This summer, UNAW GALLERY in Seoul presents Flowing Moonlight, a solo exhibition by Haechan Kang that allows us to explore light, air, and the passage of time through a poetic blend of paintings. The exhibition comprises 31 paintings created between 2022 and 2025, accompanied by early sketches and drawings that offer insight into the artist's creative process.

Haechan Kang's works transcend mere landscape painting, embodying what could be called 'sensation painting.' Instead of capturing fixed places, they dwell on the invisible elements of moments—air, temperature, and the density of light. This exhibition delves into how these sensory components permeate transparently onto the canvas.

The artist's use of interference paint provides a unique experience, with colors and gloss subtly shifting based on the viewer's gaze. Such techniques emphasize painting not as static imagery but as a transcendence of senses, inviting viewers to a multifaceted perceptual journey beyond a single perspective.

Kang captures the blurred gap between reality and sensation, painting the materiality of the atmosphere—moisture, scent, and subtle movements—that quietly, yet intricately fills the canvas. This approach emotionally articulates the emotional density between perception and memory, offering viewers space to confront their internal time.

Flowing Moonlight elevates Kang's artistic philosophy visually, guiding audiences through fleeting daily moments—the twilight before nightfall, gentle rain, passing breezes—barring traditional perspectives and proposing a new way of experiencing sensation.
